Hi, the ex met none of the terms of a court order, so a contempt order was filed. The judge ordered a reply, which the ex ignored. The Judge then denied the contempt order in the face of very solid evidence, even without the ex's ordered reply! An appeal will be too costly. What's the point of court orders if one party is not required to comply?

Do you have an attorney to help you? Very often, that is what is needed to help push the issue.
Depending on the state and the nature of the alleged violation, the court may well have found that the violation was incidental or inconsequential.
