daughter is bipolar and unmedicated

My daughter is bipolar and refuses medication saying it is her choice to take it.She has gotten into several wrecks,the.most recent she hit a tree at 65 miles an hour.she either doesnt sleep at all or sleeps all the time.She wasnt taking care of her baby until CPS got involved.we petitioned for custody.How do I get her records from her treating psychiatrist and family dr for court?Do I petition the judge for a court order? I am very concerned about my grand daughter and daughters safety.Thank you for all your help.

You need an attorney.

Getting someone's medical files - specially psych files - is incredibly difficult. And still, many psychiatrists simply will NOT answer anything other than very, very basic questions.

An attorney will know what to request, and give the reasoning behind such a request.
