Alcohol & Drugs: DUI, DWI Could we be liable?

My 30 year old son has had 2 DUI's and has had his license suspended for 2 years. He has fulfilled all his court obligations and has been clean for about a year. When he gets his license back, he wants us to give him (or sell real cheap) our old family car so he can look for a job. Since we know his history, if he has an accident while DUI again, will we be civilly or even criminally liable?

If you sell a licensed driver a car, you're not liable for anything he/she does with the car.

If I were you, rather than sell him one of your cars, you can give him money to buy a car from a car dealer.

Or, you can sell him one of your cars.
