Repairs, Maintenance Cost of Smoke Detector Batteries

Who's responsible for the batteries in the smoke detector, the landlord or the Tennant?

Who's responsible for the batteries in the smoke detector, the landlord or the Tennant?

Well, at about $10 (or less) in outlays, I suspect the tenant is responsible.

But, in NY, it might be the landlord.

If it were my call, I'd replace the batteries.

But, I have removed all the batteries in mines, as I find them to be an annoyance.

A house fire is not something I worry about.

Come to think about it, I don't worry about anything these days.
