Hi,
Asking this question on behalf of a friend.
Last week her husband and her had a heated argument n husband slapped her in heat of argument .
He is a good man its just the stress.
She went to doctor for panic attack n disclosed whatever happened. The cops were called and left husband with a warning.Cops mentioned they are understanding the situation and leaving with a warning.
Now, my friend is afraid how does will the warning affect her husband. She didn't intend all this to happen. It was just a stressful phase in life.
Does it reflect on his immigration records ( They r here from Nepal on work visa )

A warning is exactly what the word WARNING means, a verbal admonishment (might even be written) to behave yourself and stop before other punishments could be used.

He got a NOT GOING TO JAIL CARD, so both people can live their lives as if nothing ever happened.

However, if the cops are called agin for domestic violence, someone is probably going to be arrested.

Hi Army Judge,
Thanks for your reply.
One more question is,if the warning is written, will it affect their immigration (Stamping, GC process)? My friend is dependent on him(She is on H4)

If he applies for a new job or any event where background verification is made, will this warning reflect in his records?
Since she is dependent on him(He is on H1 and she is on H4), she is worried.

The warning, if that is what he received, isn't even recorded anywhere beyond the local police files. That doesn't mean he's a criminal, the record is simply to document the initial police response.

The warning means nothing, except he got a massive break.

It will not show up as a criminal record or on a background check. It just goes in the local police department's internal computer records.

There a few exceptions - some employers when applying for a law enforcement job or a federal job will ask the local police in your area to check ALL their records with your name & address.
