My lease was up. I didn't renew. He will not give back deposit. At first he said I didn't give him notice but that was not in the lease, only the renewal. It says that I have 30 days after my lease to give back the deposit if the premise were clean and undamaged. When I met with the landlord we walked through and he said all I have to do is clean it up and it would be alright. It was clean. Now he said after the 30 days he will not give it back for repairs. Any advice.

Only a court can order him to return it to you.

Order may be too strong, require might better way to phrase it.

So, you must sue him to return your money.

Off to a court on your county you must shuffle.
