Hi there I'm in Utah, I'm looking to generate leads for my solar practice, I'm looking to buy a a few calling list from online and have them scrubbed for the DNC list. I have had no prior business relations to these contacts. This calls would be made to about 8 different states.

Process would look like this:
1)Buy numbers from online source
2)have them scrubbed for DNC list
3)only call numbers that free from DNC list
4) set zoom or in house appointments for Solar consultation
5)sell solar to interested prospects

is there any flaws or potential legality issues with this? If so, what red/yellow flags do you see in this process.

Other than the annoyance factor, I don't see any legal issues if you are calling numbers that are not on the DNC list.

The success rate of cold calling is about 2% or at least it used to be. But these days with all the spoofing that goes on and people being fed up with it, I would suspect the rate is lower.

I get 3-5 spoofed calls 6 days a week and I answer none of them. And my number is on the DNC list. Thank goodness for caller ID.

You would be better off buying mailing lists and sending your ads with bulk USPS permit rates.

And there are a gazillion cell phones with spam blockers. On my phones they rarely get through. And those that do I don't answer.

What the two posters above me said. And I am on the DNC list as well.

And if, by some quirk or freak of nature, a call does get through? I don't do business with cold callers. Period.
