The spouse of one of my employee's inquired about COBRA after giving her notice. They told her that she would not qualify because she is leaving voluntarily. She works for a school.
Ever heard of such?

That's precisely what COBRA was signed into law to prevent - people being locked into jobs and unable to leave because of health coverage.

Yep, pulled that up already. I had never heard of such, but wasn't sure if it being a govt entity there might be different rules. All I can think is someone was confused and thought they were talking about unemployment.
