My jurisdiction is: California

In 1975 I was awarded child support for my 1 year old son..My ex never paid the support because he didn't work..Now I have learned he was awarded a large sum of money in a law suit..My question is "Is there a statue of limitations in California (tho now I live in Phoenix) for back child support? I would like to collect on the support if this is possible.. ty

California does not have a statute of limitations on child support arrearages. However, since your order is so old, it's possible that the law may have changed during that time.
