I live in Alabama,
I got custody of my nieces child, and she was ordered to pay child support effective November 1st 2008. She came over the first of the month and when we asked for the support, she stated she had all month.
The next visit, she was running late, therfore I didn't allow her to pick up, the excuse was a headlight being out, which was out when she brought the child home last visit.
The last visit this past month, Thanksgiving, her orders was to pick the child up on Wednesday and bring hom Sunday, so she never showed and waited until Friday, called and I explained the orders, and if she can't follow them, she can't pick the child up.
Even through this, it shows she is unrealiable and still no child support, which she could mail. I have never received it. I can't afford Junevile court again.
I have a appointment with DHR on the 3rd. The Judge did not order me DHR to collect, he told the mother to pay us dirrectly. Well, she hasn't.
The thing is, reading the papers, it is asking for my income, my ss#, etc, and even if she was to get the chilld back, why do they need my information on income. she can't collect from me? I was also supposed to give the mother the forms and she was supposed to fill one out, she hasn't.
