I had a child support agreement with ex-wife calling for support to end with graduation of high school. I would then be soley responsible for all college costs. Child has graduated and is now in college. Did not make it into 4 yr school, had to settle for 2 yr school first. Ex now wants support reinstated, as child lives with her while attending school. Can judge reopen case? This after it was drafted by 2 lawyers, signed by myself and ex, approved by judge? I've honored every line, and now looking at being punished because child did not make it into "away" school. Can i win this???
Thanks

She is out of luck. Case closed. Your daughter is now an adult. The fact that Mom has her living with her is her own choice. You are not required to support an adult child. Had you written college into the divorce decree you would, but you didn't. The child support provision is finished. I would be surprised if a judge would even entertain her motion beyond denying it.
