My jurisdiction is: New York

Adopted foster child in Orange county, New York. The county pays adoptive parents approx. $600 a month. Adoptive parents are now legally separated. What are the child support obligations of the non-custodial parent to the custodial parent? Non-custodial parent pays child support for another child from prior relationship (if that matters)

Generally, the obligation is 17% for one child. There is a consideration for a prior obligation, and I don't know how the $600 payment would affect it. The following website has additional information, as well as contact info:
