child attending cage fighting tournament

I need advice. My step daughter is 12. her mother and her mother's boyfriend want to take her to a cage fighting tournament. her father and i have clearly and repeatedly voiced are objections! yet, they are taking her anyway. is there any recourse for us?
the mother and the father have joint legal custody. does it mean anything if it can't be enforced?

Sure there is recourse. Leave them alone. That's why it's called JOINT custody. It won't kill the daughter to see a cage fight. The Mother has the right to take her child pretty much where ever she wants to take her child. The Father can object, but if it isn't dangerous to her health there isn't much he can do about it. There are no age limits to cage fight viewing. You think its bad, she doesn't. That's a disagreement you have to stay out of and the Father has to live with.
