Is there any benefit at all to donating estate property items to charity (i.e. clothes, computer equipment, etc.?)

Do donations get treated with a tax advantage for the estate in the same way a personal 1040/Sched E might?

A smallish advantage, depending on your tax bracket and income level.

Despite the taxing authorities and their lies, you can't beat them.

They, however, get you to chase your tail.

This country needs tax reform.

I doubt, however, we'll see that with national debt now well over 21 trillion dollars.

Frankly, I don't see any benefit to the estate itself but, once you inherit the items, there would be an obvious benefit to you if you itemize on your tax return.
