I am a licensed massage therapist working as an independednt contractor in a chiro office. According to our signed contract $10 is taken from each 60min massage to cover rent. The exception is medical massage sessions, where nothing is taken. I was told that Doc is going to start taking $10 per medical massage for the purpose of rent (there is no cap on rent). Basically he is going to draw up a new contract, which I guess voids the previous one. Is this legal? Each time Doc realizes a $ opportunity can he just draw up a new contract at the start of the year?

Yep, an IC works under a contract which can be changed unless there is something in your current contract to the contrary.
