My daughter and her husband have left my grandson with me on anf off since he was born (he's 5 now) this time, he has been here for the past 6months. They were separated, but are now back together. Neither has a job or place to live (They are staying with friends right now--got evicted a while back). They both have mental health problems. I love my grandson and I'm willing to raise him, but I am not the legal guardian so I can't use my benefits from work to pay for his doctor, dentist, or whatever.Technically, I can't even sign him up for little league or talk with his teacher. (although I do what I have to do) I'm mostly worried that he has no health insurance and could need something I can't pay for and that his parents will take him back some day and take away the stability he has with me. Do I have any hope of getting some sort of guardianship for him in Florida?
