short version of a long story:

bought a new car, signed all paperwork, got the financing through the dealer.

now the dealer calls today and says they made a mistake and entered the wrong $ value of the car price($10,000 lower). they are saying it should be higher and want me to come back in.

am i legally bound to go back? can they take the car away or revoke financing?

the financing is through a credit union so its not actually through the car dealership.

i want to do the right thing, but need some advice on what is actully the law.

If you have a signed contract and possess the car, their mistake is their loss.

I'd ignore them.

They have no legal legs to stand on.

Read your contract- it will likely have terms regarding the revoking of the contract and a time frame to do so. You may have to take it back, or else it could be repossessed.

If you wanted to take the car back because you found out you overpaid by 10k, they would laugh their buts off
contact an attorney and asked them, dont go up there until you find out if they have any legal grounds. furthermore how long has it been since you bought the car? If the credit union has paid them for the car I highly doubt if they have any recourse.
