My husband left his job of 10 years on Oct. 29th to take another position at another company. He received his 2nd to last paycheck on November 1st, where the company did deduct the health insurance premium from his earnings. He will receive another partial check on Nov. 15th. We found out shortly after, that the company cancelled our health insurance, effective Oct. 31st. We already paid for October's premium. He is going to call first thing tomorrow (Monday) and see if it was just an oversight. The company can't cancel the insurance and then the next day take a premium payment for that insurance out of his paycheck, can they? Especially if it's for the next month? We're not even covered now! Thanks in advance.

A lot depends on how the payments were made. They aren't necessarily always going forward; i.e. the payments taken out at the end of October are not necessarily for the beginning of November, but might be for the last half of October. Sometimes they work backwards.
