Hi. I have been looking all over the Internet lately and I couldn't find an answer to my question. So I have turned to you guys. I am 18 years old. And my pregnant girlfriend is 17. Can her parents prevent me from seeing her and my unborn child through the pregnancy course?

Yes.

Until she's 18, her parents rule.

And they might be able to get a restraining order, too.

So I suggest you just bide your time until her birthday.

You have bigger problems. Legally it will not be your child unless you establish paternity. You are an adult now... You have some things to prepare for before and after this child arrives.

Yes, her parents absolutely can legally keep you away from her AND therefore from the baby until you establish that you are the father and have a court ordered visitation.

Yes they can. She's a minor.

You legally aren't the father of anything until the baby is born and you establish paternity. I suggest as soon as that baby is born, DNA test, file to establish paternity but then you also get a child support order.

How are you going to see the fetus while it's still in the mother anyway? She can send you pictures from the ultrasound if she wants. How long until she's 18?

And even after she turns 18, if she continues to live with her parents it's their house, their rules.

Shes a minor therefore they can forbid any contact with you! As stated until you establish paternity its not even your child. If you then you can have visitation with child but NOT Mom if her parents so wish. Of course you will be ordered to pay child support as well. Depending on your states laws there could be legal consequences for you as well since Mom is a minor

Indiana age of consent is 16. She's 17 - and perhaps he was 17 too when she got pregnant. Possible.
