Hi there. Can I still file for annulment using these 2 reasons: 1) husband concealed his impotence and/or inability to engage in sexual relations before we got married and 2) he still refuse to engage in sexual relation or consummate the marriage despite of undergoing therapy and refuses to take medication to remedy his condition? My husband & I were married twice, 1st in Vegas in March 2003 and 2nd in a church wedding here in LA in Sept 2005. I went along for a church wedding because I thought at that time that probably the reason why my husband does not want to engage in any sexual relation with me was because of our faith. We are both Catholic and Catholic doctrine teaches that sex outside of church marriage is a sin. After we got married in church still my husband refuses to engage in sexual relation with me without giving me any reason/s. I was already contemplating of filing an annulment then but was prevented by a sudden turn of event. 8 months after our church wedding, my husband only living family member died suddenly. He was forced to go back to his home country to attend to the burial and got stucked in his home country for 1 year not by his own liking but rather due to some problem with his visa. It was 5 months after he came back here in the US, around August 2007 that I found out my husband's condition after I threatened to file for annulment. It was only then that he confessed he has problem and promised to seek professional help. I decided then to hold my decision to file for annulment to give him time to seek professional help. Both of us has been going to therapy to deal with it and at the same time he has been consulting a doctor about his condition but until now he refuses to follow doctor's advised nor took the medications that were given to him to correct his condition.
Do you think I have a strong chance of getting an annulment with the above situation? Help.... - Caligirl69
