My ex boyfriend left a motorcycle that we once coowned at a dealership where it was seized. Upon inspection it was discovered to have a stolen engine. Once resolved, a phone call was made to him letting him know I can go pick it up. This was transmitted through vm. Upon his failed response an attempt to notify me via mail at our residence in Virginia Beach while I was attending school in Gulfport, MS. He did not let me know this. Since the bike was not claimed it was auctioned and sold for $7500 but I am left paying the loan. I can not afford to pay $326.11 for a vehicle I do not own. I was wondering if I can sue my ex for the pay off amount at the time of the tow.

You can sue anyone. But, in this matter, you won't win, because you have no case. What you can do, is tell him goodbye. Or, ask him to help soften your load by paying some of the $300 you're required to pay.

That is the problem with co-ownership. You have responsibility for the actions of the other person in regard to the property.
