Can I do anything about My name being used without my permission?

I was wondering if a man has any rights to his name being used for profit without permission. My last name is Seville and my name is frequntly used along with the Alvin and the chipmunks franchise. I am basicaly just fed up with always being assiociated with that because of my name. It's not like it's common like smith. Everyone with that last name is from the same family. I don't know if it is a form of infringement but I'd like to find out if anything can be done.

No, nothing can be done against the owners of the Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise. They don't need permission to use the name "Seville". If it bothers you that much to have people associate you with it, you could change your name.

You do not own the trademark or copywrite to your name. Seville is common. It is also the name of a Cadillac, along with a huge housing community by me. I have no idea how you think you own the name Seville.
