I moved to New York to live with my son's father, things didn't work out, so I left him and resided in New York for about 1 year. I had a hard time making ends meet and had a hard time with childcare, I decided to move back home to Texas so my family could help me out. He decided to take me to court for visitation, knowing that I would not be able to leave the state until our hearing. i waited a few months until the hearing, and they set up a visitation schedule. I was told at that time that I could not leave the state, and if I wanted to move i would have to file for a hearing. I didn't not have the time nor the money to wait so I decided to leave anyway, at first he was okay with me leaving, as this was the best situation for our child. Since I have been back in Texas he has constantly threatened to report to the courts that I have moved and am denying him visitation. Since I filed for child support, the threats have become more severe. He is now threating to sue for full custody. I work for a state agency, and if a warrant is issued, I could lose my job. What can I do? What will happen if he does report the move? Will I be arrested and held in contempt? What can I do about his harrasement? What can I do to make my situation legal so that i do not have to deal with the threats? I am very worried, anyone have any advise?
