Broken Engagement and wedding expenses

Hello All,

I've recently broke off my engagement after a year. I am seeking legal advice regarding the money spent and who is legally responsible for covering theses expenses. I've never agreed to pay any of the expenses for the wedding, all in which was to be covered by the father of the bride.

Total amount that has been spent is $3000 (not much planning has been made). No deposits have been made, everything has been small purchases all in which can be sold for a profit.

Does this have any legal precedence in the state of GA?
if so..
Will I be liable for any of the costs? If so, what percent?

You are NOT LEGALLY responsible for any funds expended towards a wedding without a written contract obligating you to pay said expenses.

You are not on the hook for anything.

Tell these people you won't be paying for things for which you did not contract and approve.
