I'm a college student and for the past few months I've been working two days a week at this local business. I'm not offically on the payroll, which probably limits what I can do. Every two weeks I get a check. My last check bounced. And I've heard around the office that a lot of checks to vendors and customers are bouncing. I should get my next paycheck this week, but I'm sure it will just bounce. I am planning to quit -- working for bad checks doesn't seem like a productive thing.
What can I do? How should I go about getting the money from the bounced check? Can I get that money? And what about the money I would get on my next check; how can I make sure I get that money? What are my limitations by not being on the payroll?
