My jurisdiction is: ca.

I worked for a tow company.last week my boss assaulted me.I was not hurt.Icalled in sick the next day.have not been back to work since.I believe he fired me.I received my pay minus $160.00 for a tow i had done earlier in the night that i was assaulted and had not turned in to the office.my room mate brings me home a letter that says...I have received all moneys owed to me and there is no money owed to me expressed or implied. With the letter were paychecks with the stub attached, but not signed by my boss.each check was for a two week pay period with 80 hrs. stright time.I have been working 60 or more hours a week, and have worked many 7 day weeks.the date on the first check is dated 1/11/08.the date on the last check is dated last week.so there is about 21 or 22 checks.my boss wants the letter and the checks signed and returned.myboss dose not pay us overtime,we get no lunch or rest breaks.what do you think all of this means.
