I sold a boat (had title) and said in ad that trailer and fish finder comes with boat. Can't find title to trailer. I tracked the old owner down, but he's dead. The executor (his daughter) won't cooperate with getting a death certificate. Do I have to take boat back if I can't get title to the incidental trailer?

You should do what you'd want others to do to you.
Legally you don't have to do anything unless a court orders you to do so, notwithstanding your buyer's demand.
But, be prepared for the seller to howl about you selling him or her something that you now can't provide clear title to showing ownership. That can bring criminal charges in some states, and a civil lawsuit in all states.
