When my wife was young and a single mother. She was going through alot of issues. She gave her twin girls to her mother to take care of. When wife and mother had fallout, mother filed for and got custody of twins. She then adopted them. Wife appealed but lost. After, mother moved to another state.
Just found out yesterday that mother was charged and pled guilty to 4th degree child abuse. Twins are now in Foster care. Because mother adopted, we are being told that wife has no rights to twins, even though they are in Foster care. When we call child services they can't do anything because again, wife has no rights. Is there way wife and myself can file for custody of twins? Nobody seems to be able to tell us.
