I hired contractor to finish my basement. He told me it would take three weeks. After 7 weeks he was only halfway done and the work was of a VERY POOR quality. I fired him but as of right now, I've paid him for more than he has done. Seeking a refund from him of approx $2000 to $2500. Does anyone have any advice on how to win this case in small claims court ?
