Alcohol & Drugs: DUI, DWI az interlock moving to CA. do I have to continue interlock to get CA license?

I am currently an AZ resident with an AZ license. I am currently required to have an interlock device for another 10 months, due to a DUI. It looks like I will be re-locating to CA for a new job. Will CA require me to continue the interlock to get a CA license, or is there some way around having to continue. The interlock is a nightmare!

When you apply for a CA license they will likely transfer the requirement, or simply deny you a license. If you do not apply for a CA license, your AZ license will still show the requirement. If you move permanently you are supposed to apply for a CA license within 30 days.
