Please help! I am going through a divorce. We own a corporation in which my husband is the president but I still own 50%. He has been talking to our business attorney and since racked up $15,000 worth of bills. One of the bills said that something was "disolved". It was my understanding that durning a divorce in California, assets cannot be changed or dispersed without a court order or agreement between the parties. He is saying because he is the president of the corporation, he can do whatever he wants. My divorce attorney is good, but he doesn't know a lot about corporate law. Please help! Can he just rack up whatever charges he wants during this time and I am 1/2 responsible for the bill?

Consult with an experienced business attorney as soon as possible to prevent expenses from being incurred on behalf of the corporation that you may later be responsible for. Good Luck!
