I wasn't home when UPS tried to deliver my package valued at $150. UPS left it at the office of my apartment complex. A leasing agent signed for it. Someone took the UPS slip off my door and went in received the package. The office didn't ask for any ID. They told me they will look into it but they are not liable. I beg to differ. Am I right? I never signed anything nor made any verbal agreement stating that it would be OK to except packages of mine. What should I do?

Thanks

Sue the bad people in small claims court for $150.

UPS/leasing office

Hi,
I'm in the same situation my friend. So, tell me abt the result of the case. I'd really appreciate if u can share some info.

After going back and forth with my apartment manager, they blamed UPS & UPS blamed them, they finally gave in and decided to pay. I feel both where at fault because I never authorized UPS to leave my package with anyone. Nor did my apartment complex have permission to sign on my behalf. So now when I move into an Apt., I give them a signed letter stating they cannot sign and receive packages for me.
