Appeal a temporary custody judgement

I would love a little information, I'm represented by an attorney in SC, and since I'm already represented, noone will give me legal advice. I guess, in a nutshell, my husband is facing felony charges, Domestic Assault of a high and aggrevated nature. We have an 8 mo daughter, and are in the midst of a divorce. Im suck with an attorney that is horrible (i have no money to pay a new retainer fee) and i was given incorrect information on when the hearing was to place temporary custody. I appeared 2 minutes after the hearing started, and as a result my husband was given tempory custody. I was not informed by my attorney, but have heard, that I had 30 days to appeal the decision and have a new hearing. This was 3 months ago. I there anything I can do between now and our final hearing? His criminal charges are still pending (I don't think he's been indicted yet) but is it to late to have a new hearing for temporary custody?
