I married my boyfriend when i was 18 (2.5 years ago) so he could qualify for financial aid since we were both students and had very little income. We've been separated for a year now and I want an annulment. I realize that I can file for an annulment under the fraud reasoning, but can I get in trouble through school or government for, in a way, taking advantage of marriage for money?? He also cheated on me while we were still living together...is that grounds for nullifying a marriage? And also, does anywone know the general process I need to take in CA to get the annulment?

Adultery is not grounds for an annullment. You need to see a divorce attorney.

Getting an anullment might be much more of a hassle, and more expensive than just getting a regular divorce.
