Am I responsible for people who pump gas and then drive away?
I work at a gas station and we have many drive offs and now the
manager is saying that we as the cashers are going to have to pay
for any drive offs from our pocket! and possibly get suspended !
I don't feel it is my fault i did not steel the gas so do not feel i should be punished, is it legal for them to make us pay?

No I do not dee how its legal to do that. The gas station you work at has made a VERY poor choice if they allow people to pump before they pay. Why not the other way around? I am sure some labor law would protect you. If they gas station allows people to pump befor they pay thery are asking for trouble. If I were you, start looking for another job. You might want to contact your state labor board to see if what they have told you is even legal.
