I have asked for, and do qualify , for a public defender. I was told I will not know whi it is until the day of my hearing and just be there 15 minutes ahead of time. Is this true?
How can I possibly discuss my case in just 15 minutes prior to the hearing?
Rules vary from state to state, county to county. Just call the county court PD office or clerk for clarifications. It is possible if it is just a first appearance which does not need any preparation.
