Adopting My Daughter

My first Question is at 4 months Old Marissa came to live with Me.At 2 years I got Guardianship She is now 10 Years old, The Biological Mother has lost all 4 of her children. So my question is What do I have to do to Adopt her?Do I have to Have Her Mothers Permission? The Biological Father has never been established.

Also i'd like to know If I file for Bankrupty would that have any effect on my Adoption or My current Guardianship?

Your life sure is complex per your other post. Is Marissa one of the 3 children of your new husband that you want to adopt? Do you and your husband plan on filing bankruptcy together? How will you afford a lawyer if you declare bankruptcy? Adoption is not a do-it-yourself project.
