adding another name onto deed and mortage

I own a home that I bought prior to being married...always kept all the paper work in my name only and made all payments by myself if I wanted to add some one other than my wife onto the mortage and deed can I do this ,I would like to add my brother on...how can I do this ?????????
Married for 14 years...and not once has she even offered to help with the bills
