30 year old conviction

I'm Wondering if a felonie drug conviction from 30 years ago will show up on a California background check for a local lumber yard job

A felony crime may show up. You never know how background checks are conducted so it is impossible to say. But 30 years ago is a very long time ago. I wish you the best of luck with your job application and hope it works out for you.

Agreed, it may show up but absent anything else and a good employment history is unlikely to have much of an effect. Unless of course the 30 years was spent in prison.

Agree that it is hard to say whether it will show up. All background checks are not the same - it can depend on what type & how thorough of a background check the employer does/requests. Good luck to you.
