Depends. Generally if the "child" can't spell the word "emancipation" then s/he will not qualify.

Ohio permits emancipation through active duty military service or lawful marriage. If either ends before the minor reaches the age of majority, the minor reverts to the care and custody of his or her parents.

you have to be 16 and have a ged or finished high school and i believe and have a job- means of support. hope this helps then you file in court.
