Can my 18 year old nephew collect court ordered child support that was never paid to his mother? His father is lazy and usually only works for cash when he needs it and his mother never pursued collecting money owed.

Generally, no, the money is owed to his mother, not to him. If his mother is deceased, then he may be able to collect the arrears if they are considered part of her estate, but I'm not sure about that.

NO, the money is owed to mom and not him. Mom should encouraged to pursue the arrears. Does dad not file any taxes?
