I got pulled over for speeding. Officer also found possession of marijuana more than an oz 11357 (c) h &s. This is my first offense. What is going to happen to me?

Relax, dude, you're in Cali and Jerry "moonbeam" Brown is in charge.
You're innocent until PROVEN, or you foolishly plead guilty.
Appear when and where directed.
Plead NOT guilty, hire a lawyer or beg the court for a public defender.
Stay out of MORE trouble, leave that DAMN weed alone, it ain't as legal as most sheeple are led to believe.
Wait patiently, the longer the wait, the better outcome for YOU.
Speak ONLY to your lawyer.
Even if convicted, unless you do more silly, crazy crap; you'll never do a day in jail or prison.
You'll probably get probation and community service, if you're convicted.
Of course, the court and the state will want money, lots of money.
How much?
North, well north of $2,500; but ask that great lawyer you're gonna hire or get the taxpayers to fund.
He or he will know so much more than some dude on the 'net, dude.

Here is the offense:

11357(c) Except as authorized by law, every person who possesses more
than 28.5 grams of marijuana, other than concentrated cannabis, shall
be punished by imprisonment in a county jail for a period of not
more than six months or by a fine of not more than five hundred
dollars ($500), or by both such fine and imprisonment.

With fees and assessments, the total can come to about $1,500. Jail time is not too likely, but probation and drug counseling/testing are. It's time to take a lesson from this and get clean.

If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be assigned for you. The attorney can let you know the likely outcomes and the options (deferral, maybe) available through your court.
