how can you find out if a police report was filed against a person, business, or property? Can you just call the police station? Do they record your call? Or record that your phone number made the call and what you were asking about?

what kind of trouble for inaccurate answers?

Can a police officer come to your house and just start asking questions? If they ask for a person by name and you tell the officer there is no one there by that name, can they ask you who you are and what your birthdate is? And ask other questions like who lives there, are they married, etc...

say if you were given community service weekends, but are otherwise commited to say caring for elderly parents then, can you ask to do the service during other free time??

cmlzip - see post at end of other thread and then it continues here county DA office did not know of PTI either. She said at next week's court date it is arraignment and between me and judge no DA then, right now it is between me and the courts and that I would have to ask judge for PTI...

just called local DA office, the girl said didn't know what PTI was, I spelled it out, she put me on hold, and came back and said they don't do anything like that thru that local office. IS that right? Do I need to contact a lawyer? IS PTI well known throughout the 50 states? I'm on hold for...
