find out about police report? ASAP

how can you find out if a police report was filed against a person, business, or property?
Can you just call the police station? Do they record your call? Or record that your phone number made the call and what you were asking about?

You can call the Police station (yes you will be recorded), but I doubt they will tell you anything without a case number. You can call the courthouse and see if any charges have been brought against anything and they will let you know.
