    HRA Contribution Question

Hi all! So admittedly, benefits are not my area of expertise. I am hoping one of you could help me out on this HRA question that was posed by one of our clients regarding the HRA set up and contributions for an employee and their spouse. (I am an HR manager for an accounting firm) The...

Question on Flat Fees and OT compensation

Thank you for sharing Elle. After reading it through, I am pretty sure that the employees in question wouldn't qualify. These broadcasters would be "gathering facts on routine community events" which would not be considered creative professionals. Its a pretty standard, small-town news broadcast.

Question on Flat Fees and OT compensation

I'll admit, benefits is not the favorite part of my job. I can't even imagine how it looks across a full University. Yes, I will definitely try to jump back on more often. I miss the old crew as well. I'm going to cruise over to MH thread later tonight. :)

Question on Flat Fees and OT compensation

Agree completely. This is a question that came from a client of one of my CPAs. I am just tasked with providing the answer of how they could do it, if they chose to. My recommendation will be to pay hourly.

    PEO referrals

Hi Everyone! I recall a few threads back in the AHI days that discussed PEO services. A business owner friend asked me for a referral to a PEO. He is looking for payroll, vacation and benefits tracking, etc. TimK, I believe you had been active in this conversation at the time? Does...

    Pre-Employment Testing and Compensability

Thanks for the reply, Betty. The client (employer) would also like to compensate the candidates who have passed the testing for the time they spent. They do not want to compensate candidates who have not passed, only the ones that did pass and have accepted an offer of employment. Do you...

    Travel time clarification, please.

Hi Betty3, yes I agree it would be nice if the client pays it. We will be suggesting some options for the client to consider including a lower wage/markup for the travel time hours in order to give some compensation for the ees time. Disagreeable, we are pulling candidates from the...
