    Still collect on medical bills?

Just because the doctor doesn't practice doesn't matter. He did at the time the patient saw him, and there was an agreement to pay at that time. Have you tried to work out a payment plan with them in the past? The best thing to do at this point is go to court if you can't settle it with them...

Three different locations, where should I file a small claim?

Generally you would file in your local area. It would be best anyway because there's less of a chance of them showing up for court given the travel situation. That would mean a default judgment for you. In other words, you win.

Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft I think Wal-Mart is trying to arrest me.

Fair enough, but if they really had something on him, wouldn't they have arrested him right then? He said he placed it in men's wear. And I'm guessing this was one of the deal where they have them stacked in and aisle near electronics, so it's not actually in that department, and as such you...

Oh. I hadn't even noticed anyone in particular disagreeing. It's OK though. At least in this case I think it ultimately lead to the right answer, which is what the OP needed.

Sex Crimes, Sex Offenders Child Sexual Abuse/Sodomy. Can I still sue?

I just went back and looked, and I do stand corrected. I was looking under civil limits. Criminally there is no statute of limitations in NJ for aggrivated sexual assult, and I do believe this would definatly qualify. So the OP could still go after him for criminal charges. For civil...

    Bank Cashed Canceled check

If this was a canceled check, then all the employer has to do is show the police this check as well as the re-issued one, and you are screwed. And that's probalby what happened so far.

Sex Crimes, Sex Offenders Child Sexual Abuse/Sodomy. Can I still sue?

To go back 18 years??? Where does it state in NJ law that this would still be an open case?

Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Furnishing alcohol, military base

You absolutly need a lawyer for this. First of all, how do you verify age with a credit card? Anyone 18 or older can have a card, and cards can be faked rather easily at that. And if you think about it, what do you as the pizza guy do with the card? Rub the numbers into the receipt? That...

Alcohol & Drugs: DUI, DWI 21 y/o First DUI offense in Dahlonega, Georgia; Please help!

Call a DUI attorney in your area. They should have a free consultation. As for the stop, you would have been a huge idiot if you would have refused the field sobriety tests. I'm not sure about Georgia, but in Florida if you refuse, you automatically loose your lisence. Gerogia is probalby...

    Dangerous Situation Neighbor's Dead Tree

Normally I would say if you have a chick with a chainsaw not to argue. But this is a Texas chick with a chainsaw, soooo... shuy yer piii-hole son and let er have at it. :) If she doesn't have the money, and you don't have the money, then your only two options are A- let the tree fall when...

    false charges on citations

It may be that the fines have recently increased, and he may be required to write in the new fines. But from your picture you havn't been charged with anything other than parking in a handicapped spot. That is the only thing checked off. What you need to do is go to the courthouse where...

Assault & Battery Trapped - Horrible Abuse and No Way Out

OK. First things first. Sue needs to realize that the only way out of this situation is to leave with nothing (for the time being). But she also needs to understand that she has nothing as it is. The next step is for her to call the police the very next time he beats her. And I'm...

Sex Crimes, Sex Offenders Child Sexual Abuse/Sodomy. Can I still sue?

No. In New Jersey the statute of limitations for personal injury is 2 years. There are other parts of the law that have different time frames, but 18 years later is way too late to do anything.

False, Frivolous charge made. What can we do?

Go to court, tell her side of the story, and tell him in court to prove his side. he brought the complaint, so he has the burden of proof.

Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft I think Wal-Mart is trying to arrest me.

When you say you put it in the mens wear section, where did you put it? Did you stash it in a rack of clothes? I would say that if the police didn't arrest you right then and there, then that's probalby the end of it. I would call the store and ask for the manager, and demand to know what...

Used car bought, title stolen, seller unknown

I'm assuming you called the police after the break in? Call the detective who is handling the case (or sleeping on the case, whatever) and explain the situation to him or her. The vehicle should still be registered in the old owner's name, and they should be able to track that down.

Alcohol & Drugs: DUI, DWI Police tape destroyed. Needed for evidence... Is this ok?

Your lawyer should be able to answer this. I would think this could help your case. Remember, the police have the burden of proof, and with the tape gone, that's one less item of evidence they have. Sounds to me like destruction of evidence, and definatly needs to be called into question...

Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Minor arrested for shoplifting

Each state varies, but in some states, yes, this is still shoplifting. She concealed the items and it was obvious that she had no intention of paying for them. And some stores do have a policy that their employees are required to prosecute.

Harassment, Stalking, Misconduct How to deal with harassment

First, you all need to gather every bit of proof you have of her lies. Then he needs to go file a lible suit against her. That should shut her up. I would also list harrasment in the suit as well.
