Vaccine Mandate and Employment Issues

My condolences on the loss those close to you.

How many vaccinated people do you know who have died of COVID. (Personally know, since you brought up the anecdotal examples.)

a couple, one had the vaccine. The other said they did but I am not 100 percent sure they actually did. Yes I have heard from doctors that those that come in the emergency room on Monday (vaccinated) go home on Friday. While those (non-vaccinated) who come into the emergency room on Monday leave in a hearse on Friday.


Still if people are FIRED for not getting a vaccine then they should qualify for unemployment in all instances.
 
I have had family members die from COVID and knew some healthy unvaccinated people that have died as well. I am not sure a vaccine would have saved their lives anyway.

The odds are astronomically in favor of survival if vaccinated. I don't really care if you believe this or don't believe this but those people you mentioned would more than likely still be alive had they been vaccinated.
 
I am not a conspiracy theorist, but do think this is a major erosion of personal freedoms being forced on employERs to implement, regardless of what side of the issue one is on... One reason I got vac'd was for long term COVID effects more than fear of dying.... I do believe that odds are better for vac'd and with moving across the country and being exposed to a whole new group of people, it became a need for me.

However I hate when employers are forced to uphold something that the gov't mandates (I would make the same argument on health insurance/PPACA and personally believe that health insurance should be outside of the workplace relationship altogether and that each person should be allowed to pick their plan/deductible/coverage/etc). But I tend to believe in personal choices and as small a gov't as possible with limited powers.

If an employer itself chooses this for the best of their employees, to me that is different. But to have it forced just doesn't sit right for me on this one. But I've also never worked in jobs that required the flu shot or any other vaccines.

I have always gotten the flu shot for 15+ years, and my personal doctor said that could have prevented me from getting COVID as well since you build up immunity. I agree with limited government control and a mandate at this point is just plain dumb. I know with the mandate employers will put employees through a HR process whereby if they don't have an action plan to get the vaccine then they have an action plan to not continue employment.

And our "action plan" is not good.....I hate that I have to uphold it from a company with high ethical morals/standards.....Too many people are overriding personal religious rights and it's being allowed when the standard in the past and with the EEOC has been very lenient on what is considered religious viewpoint, activity, etc. See

But this is being ignored by the mandates and I don't agree a valid accommodation is suspension from service until either vaccinated or no longer required to be.....which means loss of income and benefits usually since it's not a protected leave.....
