913 AM right now. Just got back from grocery shopping. Thought I'd beat the heat going early. Going to Prescott tomorrow where it will be 93 degrees midday. Pity I have to come back in the afternoon.

We just had an unexpected T storm with a nice shower of rain which we really needed. Still hot as hell and super humid though.


Good news is the roofers did a good job and no leaks! Yay!

We have wonderful central air, thank goodness!

We keep the boys (cats) in the house. Ace got out last night and 30 seconds later was at the door to get back in. Jack, King and Tobi, native to Vegas are smart enough to know it sucks out there and stay in the 75 degree house.

We have ice water bowls all about for the poor stray cats/dogs/birds...whatever needs to cool down.

7:45 and 111 degrees. We had a thunderstorm for a couple of hours yesterday. Not very pleasant because the humidity was terrible.

Not at all.

Humid heat, I melt at 80. Dry heat, I melt at 85. And when I say melt, I mean I can't function without air conditioning or at least a very large fan. I'm a northern girl, what can I say?

Phoenix was the last one off the retirement list before we finally settled on Maine. We eliminated North Carolina, Colorado, the Pacific Northwest for various reasons but we hated to let go of Phoenix We finally did just because even with air conditioning, that kind of heat would kill me.

It's 95 and fairly dry right now. I was able to actually have my morning coffee on the back patio. Without melting.

I'm more sensitive to heat than most people. On the other hand, I'm comfortable when other people are putting on their sweaters.
