Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Underage drinking

I recently got an underage drinking charge at a concert i went to. The arresting officer told me later on that concert that if i plead not guilty the charge will most likely will be dropped to a disorderly conduct. Is there any way that will happen or is he just pulling my chain. the court date is set for Sept 30, 2008 and i turn 21 on Nov 6, 2008.

It can happen. Concert Venues and those collecting taxes from said venues don't want to be over-zealous involving minor crimes that are perpetrated by so very many of the audience.

do you think that since I will turn 21 in a month and a week from the date of the court hearing that they will be more lenient also?

Unfortunately, I don't think it will matter.

Update: the judge lowered it down to a disorderly conduct because it was my first offense and i had no prior charges
