she's preventing my contact with children

My wife left me and took our daughters with her...wouldn't even let me see them before she left (she had been out of town helping out a friend for 1 1/2 weeks prior to leaving). Therefore, at the time she left, I hadn't seen the children in over a week. She left the state, which she already couldn't do because neither one of us legally have custody...and since she left, she's avoided all contact what-so-ever...i.e. phone, e-mail...anything....the one and only message I got from her was an email in response to me mentioning going to her so I can see the children. She told me that I am not to go there. Isn't it illegal to prevent any contact with my children without some sort of court order?

What you need is a court order to force her to let you see your children. I suggest you have your Attorney petition court first thing Monday

You probably are going to need to file for divorce and get a temporary custody/visitation order in place.
